Tupele Dorgu from Coronation Street (Kelly) joined the band for a couple of numbers which was great fun. She's a tremendous singer and the band really enjoyed working with her.

Band leader Scott to play bass for Linda Gail Lewis in August at the Colne R&B Festival. Linda Gail Lewis is the little sister of the mighty Rock'n'Roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis. Scott will be joined by string-bending king Jerry Dunahue (Fairport Convention, Gerry Rafferty, Chris Rea, Joan Armatrading to name but a few) and Clive Bunker (Jethro Tull, Jack Bruce).

Boogie Express have just invested in a people carrier plus a brand new twin-axle ultra streamlined box trailer. This means the band can turn up at gigs feeling more relaxed and refreshed than ever! For the past few years the mode of transport was a 7 seater 'splitter van' and whist this did the job well, it wasn't the most comfortable way to travel!

The Brittany Ferries New Years Mini Cruise to St. Malo was a hit! Everybody on board was great - staff and public. The ship was really very nice and it made for one of the best New Years parties we've played in years! We highly recommend these New years mini cruises to anyone considering something a bit different for New Year. A great party atmosphere!

Boogie Express to provide main entertainment for the Brittany Ferries New Year 'mini cruise' to St. Malo in France. This event is sold out and should prove to be great fun! This is the first date Boogie Express have done for Brittany so they're putting a lot of trust in us on such a key date!

First gig with the 'in ear' monitoring. WOW - it looked like 'Top of the Pops'! No wires to the mic's, no big ugly guitar/bass/keyboard amps & no stage monitors. Looks SO GOOD! These recent investments have really paid off in how much they've improved the show.

12/12/07
Replaced all 'wired' microphones with 'wireless' at a cost of £3000. Now we'll have no wires cluttering the stage area either!

Boogie Express invest £5,000 in 'in ear' monitoring (like you often see artists use on TV). This should make for a further improvement in our performances as everybody can hear what they're playing & singing much more clearly on stage. Also this means we now have NO BACKLINE (i.e. guitar amp/keyboard amp/bass amp) on stage & NO MONITORS!!! This will make our setup incredibly neat and discreet.
